Hey guys! Sorry it’s been a while. Since school started, I’ve been bombarded with a bucket load of work. I haven’t had the chance to get back with my blog! One thing that has left me more overwhelmed than anything I’ve ever done is a project I’ve been doing the past few weeks. It has kept me awake till 11:00 at night trying to get everything together and finished. And the additional homework hasn’t helped either!
Some nights I just want to plop down on my bed and not wake up in the morning (I now know how my mom feels)! But one thing that has kept me going is the encouragement of God’s Word. Even if your stressed, you can always go to God’s Word and feel refreshed again.
Jeremiah 29:11 talks about how God knows the plans he has for you, and how they are not out to harm you. Sometimes it’s good to remember that all this is part of God’s plan. Even if it is stressful and overwhelming… it’ll all work out in the end… because God’s plan is not out to harm you.
“A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.” – Proverbs 29:11
Man, that is something that I need to work on, big time! When I am tired and overwhelmed with stuff I just want to go ballistic and yell at everybody (and sometimes I do). We just need to remember that when things aren’t going our way that we need to keep ourselves under control and not have a tantrum!
You probably know Proverbs 3:5-6. But it tells us to trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding. When we do that, He will make our paths straight. And that’s something that you can count on!
Ephesians 4:26, Ephesians 4:31-32, Matthew 6:19-21, Romans 8:28, and Hebrews 12:6 can help you and encourage you when you are overwhelmed or stressed. Trust me, I wouldn’t have been able to get through this project without God’s Word behind my back encouraging me throughout the way (and my parents and a lot of food keeping me up at night).
So next time your stressed, go straight to God’s Word because it has the power to heal you!
